The SIBO herbal protocol

If you’ve been intrigued enough to delve further into my blog, you’ve probably stumbled upon a previous post relating to my latest SIBO diagnosis.

At first I was happy to finally have received some form of explanation as to why I feel so unwell all of the time, but having researched this condition, i’ve discovered how much of a bitch it can be to get rid of! Some swear by herbal supplements-with many apparently rotating different supplements in order to kill the tenascious little critters that can become adapt at recognising and defeating the anti-fungals. Others swear by the use of antibiotics, or by taking these followed closely by the herbals. Whatever the process, the answer seems anything but simple and always unique to the individual sufferer.

So having discussed this with my nutritionalist she has stressed to me the importance of diet of course, and has ordered me some anti-microbials (I think that’s what they’re called!?) to help clear my small intestines again. These are the ones recommended by wise young Saskia, and apparently contain a good combination of all the right ingredients: https://naturaldispensary.co.uk/products/Oregano_Complex_90_s-20735-8.html

It’s tricky when you’re so determined to cure yourself though, because it’s inevitable that you compare yourself to everyone else in the desperate hope for a cure. Having become a member of copious SIBO groups on Facebook, all I can see is how x and y didn’t work for Joe Bloggs or how Ben Dover has tried and failed with every pill over the past four years.

It’s anything but reassuring, but all I can do is hope these make a difference. My bloating is pretty bad despite having a strict diet for the last 24 days, so i’m hoping these herbals can really help me to kick the shit out of SIBO.

One of my worst symptoms at the moment is probably my gas/stomach distention, although the fact I only disposed of waste once last week (cryptic huh, not to mention painful) was just the worst case scenario. I also have such terrible acne at the moment, which is never favourable. In this case, surely any side effects from this course of treatment can’t leave me in a worse way!? Hmm we’ll see.

This methane-dominant SIBO has helped me to toughen up in some ways, but it’s bloody exhausting. Check back soon to see how I get on with my SIBO ass-kicking protocal…
